Thu, 4th October 2018

Dublin GAA is delighted to announce that Intersport Elverys, one of Ireland’s leading sports retailers with 58 stores nationwide, is to be the new official retail partner of Dublin GAA.

The partnership will see Intersport Elverys support teams from all four codes of Dublin GAA – Football, Hurling, Ladies Football and Camogie.

The new Dublin jersey, launching Friday 12th October will be available exclusively from Intersport Elverys and O’Neills during October. Fans can pre-order from tomorrow, Friday 5th with Elverys.ie or in-store, and guarantee delivery on launch day.

Intersport Elverys, which was established in 1847, is Ireland’s oldest sports store, and today has 58 stores countrywide. Currently the business employs almost 800 people in Ireland. In 1995, Elverys became part of the Intersport group, one of Europe’s largest sporting goods buying groups. The Elverys brand remains true to its original roots, stocking products for a wide diversity of sports.

Speaking about the sponsorship Intersport Elverys Chief Executive Patrick Rowland highlighted that the opportunity to establish a formal partnership with Dublin GAA was an important move for Intersport Elverys:

‘Dublin GAA has always been an integral part of our business and we have been involved previously as title sponsor of the ladies team. Dublin GAA mirror our ambition to be the best and most successful brand in each of our respective sectors. Given our ever increasing presence in the east of the country and with our current store count in Dublin at 12, we believe that this is an important part of our future plans.”

Tomás Quinn, Commercial and Marketing Manager for Dublin GAA added ‘We are delighted to enter a partnership with Intersport Elverys. We believe this partnership will help add value to all Dublin GAA supporters and the GAA community in Dublin. We will look to use this partnership to help us continue to improve our offering of Dublin GAA products available in the market place’.
