Goals made all the difference as Templeogue Synge Street defeated St Anne's 3-11 to 0-12 in their Dublin SFC2 Group 2 clash at O;Toole Park on Friday night.
The early exchanges were evenly balanced with Synger's Eoghan O'Gara and Anne's Scott Fulham exchanging a brace of points each.
However, Alex O'Toole's 19th minute goal helped Templeogue Synge Street to a 1-5 to 1-7 interval lead.
On the resumption the O'Gara brothers, Eoghan and Killian, both pointed to extend Synger's lead to three points.
At the three-quarter mark a Ger Vickery goal strengthened Synger's chances of victory and despite the loss of Eoghan O'Gara, to a black card, Niall Scully's goal made sure after he worked a one-two with Vickery.
In the same Group in Balgriffin Nh Mearnog had eight points to spare over Erin's Isle, 0-15 to 0-7.
In Dublin SFC2 Group 4 St Peregrine's defeated Parnell's 3-13 to 2-10 in St Margaret's while Fingal Ravens edged out St Mary's, Saggart 1-9 to 0-10 in Russell Park.
Peregrine's goal-scorers were Christian O'Hara, Ciaran McGuinness and Conor Hynes.
McGuinness, who won an All-Ireland Masters (Over-40s) with Dublin last year top-scored for Peregrine's with 1-5, including frees, while former Dublin minor (2016) Hynes tallied 1-3 from play.
Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton returned to action for Parnell's having missed their SFC2 Round 1 clash against St Mary's, operating in the full-back or at times in a sweeper role.
