Gibbons and Ó Ceallaigh point way to victory for Crokes in SHC

Kilmacud Crokes put a bit of distance between themselves and Faughs in the second half of fhis Dublin SHC 'A' Group 1 duel at O'Toole Park on Saturday afternoon.

However, it wasn't enough to claim top spot in their grouping as Na Fianna's superior scoring difference saw the St Mobhi Road side progress in pole position and will face St Brigid's in their quarter-final when Crokes will play Cuala.

Crokes led 0-12 to 0-10 at the interval before six points in-a-row on the restart gave them a winning position when Fergal Whitely, Oisín O'Rorke, Niall Corcoran, Fionn Ó Ceallaighand Eddie Gibbons were all on target.

There was no goals scored but Faughs came close late on but Chris Bennett was foiled by Crokes keeper Matt Collins.
