Great to see so many more joining up to FODHC on Saturday last before the Allianz game, Dublin v Carlow. The next signing up for membership will be prior to the Leinster Hurling Championship game in Parnell Pk v Offaly on Saturday April 19th. In the meantime anybody can join up through club force.
Well done to Naomh Barróg who brought a large number of young children to Parnell Park on Saturday. The future stars of Naomh Barróg brought colour to the game and were seen running onto the pitch after to meet their heroes.
We need to see as many clubs as possible bringing young boys and girls to as many games as possible. We in FODHC will give you a plug each time your club bring a gang to either a camogie or hurling game. So get thinking for the Leinster Championship game v Offaly on Saturday April 19th. Will your club have the highest number there?
Great to see the hurlers get back on winning ways while it was a tough day for the girls who lost to Waterford 0-12 to 3-16. Next trip for the girls will be a visit to Galway and then the final group game in the Very league will be at home to Kilkenny.
Dublin seniors might have lost to Waterford on Saturday in the Very National league but for young girls and boys from Naomh Jude, Kevins and Killmacud Crokes, their day was made when made when they got the chance to play in Parnell Park at the break. There was further joy after the game when they made a guard of honour for the Waterford and Dublin players after the game as they made their way into the dressing rooms.
One Waterford mentor handed over a bright yellow sliotar, while the Dublin players who were probably feeling down after their 0-12 to 3-16 loss had their spirits instantly lifted! The young players could not wait to get the selfies and their hurls autographed! One little player running home quick with Mum to see the rugby game could not wait to tell her Dad she got to play in Dublin's Parnell park. Memories for a lifetime!
