Dublin TALKS GAA to launch Championship Season

Former Dublin Players, Barry Cahill and Bryan Cullen are set to join 98FM sports presenters Johnny Lyons and Stephen Doyle with a brand new GAA focussed radio show in association with Bavaria 0.0%. Dublin Talks GAA will be a live broadcast from 7pm – 8pm on each Friday prior to Dublin Championship games in various venues across Dublin from May 29th.

The show will be presented by reknowned sports broadcaster and editor Johnny Lyons along with a panel of speakers including ex-Dubs captain Bryan Cullen, former Dublin footballer Barry Cahill, along with 98FM’s GAA correspondent Stephen Doyle.

CEO of 98FM, Keith McCormack said: “Building on the great success of Dublin Talks and Now That’s What I Call Sport, this new show will give Dublin fans and 98FM listeners a chance to offer their views on the Dublin GAA Championship games with our Sports team and two well known Dublin heroes. As well as top-class analysis and features delivered by our sports experts, Dublin Talks GAA will be a place fans can go to express their pre-match opinions live in their own communities. It's a brand new show on 98FM but presented and produced by an excellent team and we look forward to welcoming the boys on board for some lively engagement with listeners.”

Dublin Talks GAA Panellist Bryan Cullen said: “We're delighted to be joining Dublin's 98FM and look forward to broadcasting on the most important GAA championship games of the season. It’s great to add live radio to our pre-match analysis and to include public opinion on these games too, it’s what GAA is all about!”

Bavaria 0.0% non-alcoholic beer signed a three year sponsorship deal with the Dublin GAA earlier this year. This is a ground breaking sponsorship which aims to encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol especially for those who are interested making healthier choices in their pursuit of more active sporting lifestyle.

Pamela Ryder, Head of Marketing for Bavaria 0.0% in Ireland said: We’re delighted to be collaborating with Dublin GAA and 98FM to provide great sporting entertainment whilst reinforcing the message to sports fans and athletes of the negative effects of excessive alcohol consumption and the alternatives that are available, such as Bavaria 0.0%, for those who choose to enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

Listeners will be treated to a one hour live debate with pre-game insights from the expert panel. The first show will take place in Molloys Bar and Grill in Tallaght on Friday 29th May from 7pm. Tickets are available through 98FM. For more details and other dates and venues see 98FM.com/DublinTalksGAA.
