Fingal hurlers are hoping to right the wrongs of their NHL2B relegation earlier this season when they face Tyrone in Saturday's Nicky Rackard final at Croke Park (2.0).
"Anything that could go wrong, went wrong", says Fingal manager Mick Kennedy reflecting on their promotion/relegation play-off clash with Donegal. "It was no fault of anyone. It was just one of those things."
Since then Fingal have taken flight and showed great mettle to come back from eight points down against Donegal in their Nicky Rackard semi-final in Letterkenny to win.
"Reaching Croke Park has been fantastic. And they deserve it. They have a never-say-die spirit about them."
"And it is very much an All-Ireland final. Whoever wins will climb the steps of the Hogan Stand and collect their All-Ireland medal. That's the way we are looking at it", adds Mick.
