To help launch the offer Rugby World Cup champions, the New Zealand All Blacks and All-Ireland Senior Football champions Dublin, who are both sponsored by AIG, took part in a multi-skills challenge at Castleknock College in Dublin today.
The visiting All Blacks Ben Smith, Ryan Crotty, Reiko Ionae and Liam Squire took on the home team consisting of Dublin footballers Paddy Andrews and Bernard Brogan and Dublin hurlers Eoghan O’Donnell and Liam Rushe in a closest to the pin challenge involving golf, rugby, Gaelic football and hurling. After several light-hearted & fun rounds, it was All-Black Reiko Ionae that cam away as overall victor.
The All Blacks take on Ireland on this coming Saturday looking for revenge, having been beaten in Chicago on the Rugby Weekend presented by AIG.
Speaking ahead of the event, General Manager of AIG in Ireland Declan O’Rourke said; “At AIG we are always looking at new ways to help existing and new customers and we feel these new discounts again show our commitment to that end.
“It’s great to have both the All Blacks and the Dubs here to help launch the offer. We’re very proud of our sponsorship of these two exceptional teams and I’d like to thank all the players for taking part in the skills-challenge.
“A special word of thanks to the visiting All-Blacks, for taking time from their preparations to face Ireland again, to be with us. AIG was delighted to be involved in the historic Rugby Weekend in Chicago and I’m sure we’ll have an equally as exciting game this coming Saturday.”
