Dublin’s ability to take their early goal chances proved vital in Monday’s Electric Ireland MFC quarter-final victory over Cork.
Chris Sallier struck for two goals in the opening quarter as the Dubs showed great clinical ability on the counter-attack.
“I suppose the strength of this team lies in its ability to create chances and we managed to do that against Cork,” says team manager, Cyril Kevlihan.
“Granted, we didn’t manage to convert all of them but that very rarely happens at this level and it gives us something to work on. We have been getting the required scores in all our games to date and today was no exception.
“We could have made life easier for ourselves in the closing stages but I’m still very content with what I saw from our attack.”
