Dubs Boss Highlights Meath’s Goal-Scoring Threat

Tue, 15th July 2014

Dublin football manager, Jim Gavin, has highlighted Meath's goal-scoring prowess ahead of this Sunday's Leinster SFC final in Croke Park (2.0).

The Royals have toppled Carlow and Kildare en route to Sunday's provincial decider, scoring a highly impressive 9-29 as well as creating more goal opportunities - so forewarned is forearmed from Dublin's perspective.

"They're obviously able to get goals. They hurt Dublin back in 2010. They demonstrated that against Carlow, that ability to get goals and they demonstrated it again... they had multiple goal opportunities against Kildare," says Jim.
"I thought they finished the game quite strong. Kildare were always going to come back at them but they looked quite comfortable in the closing minutes, and they closed the game in a professional manner."
