Bragging rights are up from grabs this Sunday in Parnell Park (4.0) when the Dublin North face Dublin South in the Leinster Schools SHC ‘A’ preliminary quarter-final!
The game will take place after the meeting of Dublin and Galway hurlers in the Bord na Móna Walsh Cup semi-final (2.0).
Dublin North have overcome Antrim Schools and Laois Schools while the South are boosted by wins over Wexford Schools and Offaly Schools.
In Colin Currie Dublin North have an ace marksman with the Na Fianna clubman, who is also an Irish international cricket player, tallying well particularly from deadball situations.
Johnny McGuirk, Lorcan Finnegan, John Walsh, Peter Feeney, Donal Ryan and Cillian Costello have also been in promising form for Dublin North.
However, Dublin minor of the past two seasons, Donal Burke, who is eligible again for 2016, is making his comeback to full match fitness following injury and is unlikely to start.
Dublin South will look to the in-form Ciarán Dowling, Barry Mannion, Aaron Coffey and Jack McVeigh among others.
The winners of Sunday’s encounter will face St Peter’s, Wexford on Saturday week in the Leinster Schools SHC ‘A’ quarter-final proper.
Meanwhile, St Benildus face Scoil Mhuire, Clane this Saturday in Darver (Louth GAA, Centre of Excellence) in the Leinster Schools SFC 'A' semi-final (2.0).
