Reigning Dublin SFC1 holders, Ballyboden St Enda's, have been drawn in Group 3 of this year's competition alongside Clontarf, Whitehall Colmcille and St Vincent's.
Ballyboden St Enda's captured their fourth Dublin title when defeating Thomas Davis 0-15 to 0-9 in last year's decider.
The Firhouse Road side's greater physicality, aerial prowess and big-game nous saw them secure the Clery Cup and progress into the Leinster Championship, which they won before Anthony Rainbow's men were defeated by Down's Kilcoo in the All-Ireland semi-final.
Ross McGarry's four points from play, three in the second half, saw Boden to victory against Thomas Davis with Ryan Basquel also very instrumental up front.
Thomas Davis made their return to Dublin's top-flight SFC final last season after an absence of 28 years.
The Kiltipper Road club, who won the SFC2 in 2018, were successful on that visit to Parnell Park back in 1991 when their victory over Parnell's saw them complete a SFC three in-a-row.
Boden opened their 2019 Dublin SFC1 campaign with a one-point win (0-11 to 0-10) over Clontarf in O'Toole Park in April.
Ryan Basquel was their late, late hero as his injury-time free from 35 metres saw them edge out Clontarf in their Dublin SFC1 Group 2 clash.
Clontarf, with Kevin Lillis in particular to the fore, made much of the running and led by four points early in the second half before being reeled in and edged out over the closing minutes.
Last year's quarter-finalists were St Jude's, St Vincent's, Ballyboden St Enda's, Na Fianna, Kilmacud Crokes, Clontarf, Thomas Davis and Castleknock.
Those encounters served up some exciting clashes with St Jude's defeating St Vincent's (0-11 to 0-4), a Colm Basquel hat-trick seeing Boden to victory over Na Fianna after extra-time (3-15 to 1-15), Crokes knocked out Clontarf (0-16 to 0-8) with Thomas Davis defeating Castleknock (3-12 to 1-17).
Last year's SFC2 champions, Round Tower Lusk, who defeated Whitehall Colmcille in the decider, have been pooled with Thomas Davis, Ballymun Kickhams and Skerries Harps in Group 1.
In the 2020 Dublin SHC 'A' defending champions, Cuala, have Thomas Davis, Na Fianna and Setanta for company in Group 4.
The Dalkey side were crowned Dulbin SH champions for the seventh time after defeating St Brigid's by four points (1-18 to 1-14) in last year's final.
Willie Maher's men finished the game on top, scoring the last three points of the contest to seal victory with the influential Seán Moran and David Treacy (two frees) on target.
David Treacy was the scoring star for Cuala as he amassed 0-12 (all frees) as his side showed their experience in closing out the game.
Brigid's, despite the dismissal of Kevin Callaghan in the 53rd minute, trailed by just a point when Johnny McGuirk fired over in the 57th minute but Cuala were the better over the conclusion to merit their victory.
If Cuala concluded the game with scores they also started in the same fashion with Con O'Callaghan scoring a goal in the third minute.
The Dublin senior footballer showed all his scoring instinct by first slipping away from marker Donnacha Ryan before heading for goal and arrowing the sliotar clinically to the net.
The last eight in last year's competition were Cuala, St Brigid's, Kilmacud Crokes, St Vincent's, Craobh Chiaráin, Na Fianna, Lucan Sarsfields and Ballyboden St Enda's.
Cuala defeated St Vincent's (3-21 to 1-16) in their semi-final with St Brigid's overcoming Na Fianna (2-19 to 2-16).
