New-look senior hurlers ready to face Offaly

Dublin have named a new-look starting 15 for Saturday’s Allianz HL Division 1B clash with Offaly in Croke Park (5.0).

There are league starting debuts handed to the likes of Bill O’Carroll, Cian Hendricken, Cian McBride, Tomás Connolly, Fergal Whitely, Ronan Smith, Alan Moore and Paul Winters.

However, Whitely came off the bench last summer to earn some SHC experience for the Dubs.

Only four players that faced Tipperary from the start on the day of last summer’s exit from the championship are listed to start against the Faithful County – Fionn O Riain Broin, Shane Barrett, Chris Crummey and Donal Burke.

The football team to face Kildare, also in Croke Park (7.0), will be named at noon on Saturday.

Dublin will play a total of 5 matches at the group stages in Division 1B of the Allianz National Hurling League, with the top 4 teams in the group qualifying for the Division quarter-finals.
