Dublin GAA is saddened to learn of the passing of the great Des 'Snitchy' Ferguson at the age of 91.
Des is a Dublin football and hurling legend, winning two All-Ireland Senior Football medals in 1958 and 1963.
He also won two Leinster Senior Hurling medals with Dublin in 1952 and 1961.
And he was a part of the great St Vincents teams of the 1950s and 1960s, which claimed huge success in both the Dublin Senior Football and Hurling Championships.
"Des will be remembered as a GAA great, not just here in Dublin but across the country", says Dublin County Board Chairman Mick Seavers.
"He played a key role in the success of our Senior Football and Hurling teams in the 1950s and ‘60s and, of course, with his club St Vincents in that period, too."
"He will be greatly missed by all in Dublin GAA."
