CUALA 1-23 COOLDERRY (Offaly) 0-12
Cuala will face Kilkenny next Sunday in Parnell Park (2.0) after they overcame Offaly's Coolderry with 14 points to spare in Sunday's AIB Leinster club SHC quarter-final at O'Connor Park, Tullamore.
David Treacy shot 0-12 from frees as the Dalkey side cruised to victory over Coolderry who lost Brian Carroll to a red card in the 43rd minute.
That only served to make Cuala's task a bit simpler but they were in charge at that stage anyway as they led 0-16 to 0-8.
David Treacy converted seven first half frees Colm Cronin (pictured, above), Treacy's younger brother Seán, Mark Schutte, Darragh O'Connell and Seán Moran also contributing scores in the opening half as they opened up a 0-12 to 0-6 interval advantage.
Cuala could have been more in front but Colm Cronin missed a goal opportunity in the 16th minute at a stage Mattie Kenny's men were gaining the upperhand to move 0-7 to 0-4 ahead after the sides had been level in the 12th minute.
Cuala opened their second half account with two David Treacy frees and they never really looked in any danger in the second period.
The southsiders finished with a flourish also with Jake Malone and Mark Scutte pointing before Schutte raised the sole green flag of the afternoon in the 57th minute for Cuala to go 1-21 to 0-12 clear.
In the dying minutes Niall Carty and Nicky Kenny got their names on the scoresheet to add some extra polish to a fine Cuala victory.
