Nine of the starting team to face Carlow began in the NFL Division 1 final defeat to Kerry - with Darren Daly, Philly McMahon, Paul Flynn, Ciaran Reddin, Paddy Andrews and Bernard Brogan not named to start against Turlough O'Brien's men at O'Moore Park.

For Niall Scully and Con O'Callaghan they will be making their first championship starts.
