DUBLIN SFC1 GROUP 2
CLONTARF 1-17 LUCAN SARSFIELDS 1-10
Kevin Lillis was Clontarf's top scorer as his tally of 1-6 lead his side to victory in Saturday's Dublin SFC1 Group 2 tie at O'Toole Park.
The victory, and margin of it, saw Clontarf jump to second in the group and they will now face reigning champions Kilmacud Crokes in the quarter-final.
Lillis struck 1-6 (1-0 pen, 0-2f) for the winners with his penalty coming in the 12th minute following a foul on Brian Berney.
With Andy Foley giving 'Tarf a great platform at midfield they propsered and led by 1-7 to 0-4 at the break.
Clontarf restarted much the better with points from Berney, Foley, Lillis and Dublin U20 panelist of this year, Kieran McKeown, all striking points.
Lucan got a goal through Brian Collopy but overall relied too heavily on Brendan Gallagher as their scorer-in-chief from deadball.
