Brogan expected to be fit; Brennan out of Leinster final

Thu, 10th July 2014

The St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh man took no part in the Dubs semi-final victory over Wexford after tweaking his hamstring in the earlier round against Laois.

However, Ger Brennan has once again been ruled out of contention as the lion-hearted St Vincent's man makes his way back to full fitness after undergoing two separate operations on his stomach and ankle in recent months.

"The injury concern we have is Ger," says Dublin manager Jim Gavin. "He won't make it back in time for the next game. He's on a break at the moment. He's in the squad.

"He had the operation on it (his ankle) a few weeks ago. It's been troublesome for him since the club championships. It's been a bit stop/start for Ger. But he's a determined young man and if we can get over the next game, hopefully he'll see some time in the jersey."
