A dominant third-quarter saw Ballyboden St Enda's on the way to a 1-14 to 0-14 victory over Na Fianna in their Go-Ahead Dublin SFC1 Group 1 Round 2 meeting at Parnell Park.
Na Fianna, with David Lacey kicking three points including a mark, led 0-10 to 0-6 at half-time but they were rocked back on the restart as Boden upped their tempo and physicality.
A minute into the second half Alan Flood fired past David O'Hanlon to the Na Fianna net following a great run by Warren Egan.
It kickstarted an unanswered 1-5 for the Firhouse Road men and by the three-quarter marker they had built a potentially winning momentum to lead 1-11 to 0-11 - Na Fianna's only score of that quarter coming in the 17th minute, just before the water break, when Aaron Byrne put over a stylish score with the outside of his right boot.
Na Fianna lost Alistair Fitzgerald to a black card five minutes into the second half and Boden took full advantage of their numerical superiority.
Colm Basquel (free), Warren Egan, Conal Keaney and Ryan Basquel kicked points as Anthony Rainbow's side turned the game around in their favour.
However, Na Fianna, who lined out without Dublin senior Eoin Murchan, found their feet again at the start of the concluding quarter with David Lacey and sub Brian O'Leary kicking fine scores.
But back came Ballyboden with key man Ryan Basquel slotting the fifth of his five points from play before Robbie McDaid made it 1-14 to 0-13 after being place by a good ball from Kieran Kennedy.
Conor McHugh converted a late, close-range free for Na Fianna but they lacked the composure at times to turn opportunity into scores.
In the opening half the game started at great pace with Ryan Basquel signalling his intent inside 25 seconds when rounding his marker but his goal attempt was smothered by keeper David O'Hanlon.
Inside the opening eight minutes Boden moved into a 0-4 to 0-1 lead courtesy of scores from Ryan Basquel, Darren O'Reilly, Conal Keane and Ryan Basquel again.
But Na Fianna then improved significantly and hit five points in a row through David Lacey (mark), a great strike from Aaron Byrne, Conor McHugh (mark), Alistair Fitzgerald and Lacey again to lead 0-6 to 0-4 at the first water break.
By the break Na Fianna had established a four-point lead, 0-10 to 0-6, with James Doran's point from Na Fianna the pick of the second-quarter scores.
In Sunday's other Go-Ahead Dublin SFC1 games Ballinteer St John's defeated Castleknock 2-15 to 1-13 in Group 2 while St Jude's overcame St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh 3-17 to 1-15 in Group 4.
David Mannix, Alan Connolly and Ronan Joyce were the goal-scorers for Jude's with both Pat Spillane, son of the Kerry legend, and former Cork senior Niall Coakley hitting 0-4 each.
