Bastick’s black card is downgraded

Dublin footballer Denis Bastick has had his recent black card against Kerry downgraded.

In relation to the above game, Donncha Bastic was ordered off on foot of a cynical behaviour infraction. A Hearing was requested as he chose not to accept the confirmation of penalty. The Hearings Committee found that the video evidence provided was sufficiently compelling to prove that the Defending Party did not deliberately pull down an opponent; however, it found that a lesser infraction of rough play had occurred. The Committee directed that the original fixed penalty for the cynical behaviour infraction be set aside.
