Basquel Brothers

Colm Basquel’s inclusion in the GAA Team Of The Week last week for his outstanding performance against Kildare brought back memories of his many great displays for Scoil Cholmcille, Knocklyon in his Cumann na mBunscol days. 

Along with his brother Ryan, he has given sterling service to his school, club and county.

Colm is pictured above having captained Scoil Cholmcille to victory in Corn Kitterick - the Division 1 Senior Football final. Alongside Colm are his classmates, including Dublin Senior Hurler James Madden! 

Ryan also scored 0-4 in the 2004 Kitterick decider when they defeated a St. Fiachra’s team that included a very young Cormac Costello, making his big-time debut. 

Cormac scored a memorable point on that occasion. 

Cumann na mBunscol is proud of the achievements of these outstanding players.
