DUBLIN 1-16 GALWAY 1-16
Alan Brogan made a telling return to inter-county action at Skerries Harps on Sunday, with his 69th-minute point secure a draw against Galway in the SF challenge to mark the opening of the club’s new clubhouse.
Brogan in his first appearance since last year’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final looked lively from the opening whistle but it was Galway who led at the break, 1-7 to 0-9, thanks to Shane Walsh’s 21st minute goal.
With five minutes left Galway had opened up a five-point advantage but Philip Ryan’s goal drove Dublin on with points from Shane Carthy (St Vincent’s) and Brogan snatched the draw.
