2022 Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Championship Draws

The draws for the 2022 Electric Ireland Higher Education Championships have been made.

Defending Sigerson Cup champions DCU will meet Maynooth University in Round 1.

TU Dublin will face St. Marys Belfast and UCD will take on MTU Kerry. 

Round 1 games take place on the week commencing 10th January. 

SIGERSON CUP DRAW: 

Round 1 – Week commencing 10th January: 

(A) IT Carlow v LYIT

(B) IT Sligo v UL 

(C) TU Dublin v St. Marys

(D) Maynooth U v DCU DE 

(E) Queens v BYE 

(F) NUIG v UU 

(G) MTU CC v UCC

(H) MTU KC v UCD

Round 2 – Week commencing 17th January. 

Round 3 – Week commencing 24th January. 

Quarter Finals – Week commencing 31st January. 

Semi Finals – Week commencing 7th February

Final – Feb 16th/17th

For the Fitzgibbon Cup, UCD have been drawn in Group A alongside NUI Galway, UCC & Mary Immaculate College for the Round Robin Groups of games. 

DCU are in Group B with Maynooth University, IT Carlow & Waterford IT. 

Trinity College have been drawn in Group C alongside GMIT & MTU Cork.

And TU Dublin are in Group D with UL & TUS Midwest. 

Round 1 games get underway the week commencing 17th January, with Rounds 2 & 3 the following two weeks. 

The Quarter Finals will take place on the week commencing 7th February, with the semi-finals TBC. The Final will take place on 19th/20th February at IT Carlow.
