History was on the line for Dublin’s footballers in September 2019.
No county in either men's football or hurling had ever completed the fabled 'Drive for Five' - winning five All-Ireland senior titles in-a-row.
Kerry had been the most recent football side to get closest, only to fall at the final hurdle in the 1982 decider against Offaly.
Ironically it was the Kingdom who, this time, were looking to spoil the party by ending Dublin’s 'Drive for Five'.
Two weeks previously, the sides had played out an enthralling draw at Croke Park.
So on Saturday evening, September 14th 2019, the arch-rivals clashed again.
