CUALA 3-16 ST MAUR’S 3-11
A strong start to the second half put Cuala on the road to victory in this Dublin SFC second round at O’Toole Park on Thursday night.
Three first half goals had Maur’s 3-4 to 2-6 to the good at the break but within five minutes of the restart the Dalkey men had kicked 1-4 without reply.
Luke Keating grabbed the goal when he redirected Mark Schutte’s effort to the net past Mark Butterly.
Cuala kept their momentum going and stretched their advantage out to eight points at one stage of the second half.
Con O’Callaghan was in fine form for the Dalkey men and tallied 2-4, 2-3 from play.
Maur’s were full merit for their interval lead with Conor McGuire, Ciaran Reddin and a David McGuinness penalty getting their first half goals.
