St Pat's of Palmerstown finish with a scoring flurry to defeat St Sylvester's 4-6 to 2-8 in Monday night's Dublin SFC first round clash at Garristown.
Pat's led 1-2 to 0-4 at the interval courtesy of wing-back Shane Stapleton's goal but were rocked by two quick Sylvester's goals on the restart when both Alan Foy, from the penalty spot, and sub Micheál McCarthy were on target within four minutes.
However, goals proved crucial over the close of the game with Shane Stapleton grabbing his second goal before Jim Kelly and finally Garvan Gallagher also raised green flags as the Palmerstown men upset the odds to book their place in the second round.
