ST JUDE’S 0-22 FAUGHS 0-7
Jude’s safely accounted for neighbours Faughs in Sunday’s Dublin SHC quarter-final at O’Toole Park.
The accuracy of Fionn Ó Riain Broin, who tallied 0-10 (8f, 1 ‘65’), and Danny Sutcliffe, who struck four from play, was central to Jude’s victory over a 14-man Faughs who had centre-back Pat Robinson dismissed in the 12th minute.
As the opening half progressed Jude’s made the extra man count and by the interval Ó Riain Broin’s deadball accuracy had his side 0-11 to 0-3 clear.
During the closing 15 minutes of the opening half Jude’s hit eight points kickstarted by one from the impressive Ciarán Mangan and including two from Neal Mangan.
Despite their best efforts Faughs failed to ignite a comeback in the second half with Jude’s progressing to face O’Toole’s in their semi-final.
