LUCAN SARSFIELDS 2-12 RAHENY 0-12
A storming opening half propelled Lucan to victory in this Dublin SFC second round duel at Balgriffin on Wednesday night.
By half-time Lucan led 1-10 to 0-4 with Dublin senior panellist Emmet Ó Conghaile to the fore.
The goal came as early as the fourth minute when impressive corner-forward, Brendan Gallagher, rattled the net.
Raheny battled gamely in the second half with the accuracy of Donal Ryan helping them cut into the Lucan lead.
However, they had left themselves with too much to do with Ó Conghaile’s injury-time goal completing a good showing for Sarsfields.
