ST JUDE'S 1-13 WHITEHALL COLMCILLE 0-6
The accuracy of Declan Donnelly paved the way for St Jude's victory in Wednesday night's Dublin SFC round 2 clash at Parnell Park.
The Tymon North side's corner-forward was a thorn in the side of Whitehall throughout as he finished with a personal tally of 1-5 as Jude's booked their berth in the last-eight.
Donnelly's well-taken 28th minute goal helped his side to a 1-7 to 0-4 interval lead after the southside team had endured a lot of Whitehall pressure who failed to convert ball in hand into scores on the board.
Points on the restart from the highly influential Donnelly, two from Brendan McManamon, Tom Lahiff and Mark Sweeney had their side 1-12 to 0-4 clear by the 42nd minute.
As a contest the game had subsided at this stage as Jude's emerged victorious.
