Na Fianna retained the Dublin MHC ‘A’ title when defeating St Brigid’s 2-14 to 1-12 in last Sunday’s decider at O’Toole Park.
Colin Currie as the scoring hero for the St Mobhi Road outfit as he amassed a superb personal tally of 0-12 (0-9f, 0-1 ‘65’) to defy their brave opponents.
Brigid’s led at the break 1-7 to 0-8 with Mark Donnelly grabbing the goal in the 23rd minute to help his side, who were also thankful to the deadball accuracy of Johnny McGuirk, to their interval advantage.
However, second half goals from Luke Fenton and late sub Eoin O’Dea saw Na Fianna to victory.
In a pulsating finish two Currie pointed frees in the last five minutes coupled with O’Dea’s late goal saw Na Fianna to victory.
